"Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."

Weddings
What an exciting time it is when a couple begins to prepare for marriage! There are many details which must be taken care of, and a great deal of planning which is necessary to make the wedding day special.
Here at Bethesda, we want very much for every wedding ceremony to be a blessed event. Yet, more importantly, we want every marriage that begins at Bethesda to be one that honors God and results in the joy, peace and happiness that the Lord desires for all of His people!
In a society in which one out of every two marriages ends in divorce, we are deeply committed to helping couples prepare for marriage “God’s way” rather than the “world’s way.” Since it is painfully obvious that our culture has been doing an increasingly poor job at helping people to have successful marriages, here at Bethesda we are determined to approach marriage from God’s perspective so as to increase the chances for a couple's success and happiness over the long haul.
For this reason, we encourage those who are planning marriage to read the wedding policy of the church carefully. Couples should then pray about their decision and talk with each other. Once both the man and woman have agreed that they are ready to embark on the spiritual adventure of a Christ-centered marriage, the personal information forms (included with the wedding policy) should be mailed or faxed to the church office to begin the process of preparing for the ceremony.
If you are unable to download the policy, please contact the church secretary who can mail or fax you a copy.
